2009 Contest Award Winners and Tournament Results The end of the last game for the 4th Annual Pitch for the Cure finished up around 9:30 on Sunday night and we were out of the parks around 10:00 pm! We saw lots of great competition in all the age levels...and in all contests! We love that you guys come to support such a great cause, but also that we get some of THE top level teams around! Thank you for making this such a special event. We didn't have RAIN! Can you believe it after all the recent rain? It was hot, but not too bad. Most of the weather was pretty comfortable. We all know how windy it was and that it caused chalk lines to blow away faster than usual plus it tended to blow some trash out of the cans. Our donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure was the perfect example of how powerful a team can be together. All of us joined to fight the same battle and we raised an overwhelming $25,000 to go towards ending breast cancer. Every tournament fee, contest entry, auction purchase, event shirt and gate fee that you paid PLUS the auction baskets and team challenge donations that you brought, helped build that wonderful gift to Komen.
